Oenothera biennis
A biennial plant for zones 4-8, found in dry meadows and along roadsides. Has lemon scented yellow flowers. An infusion of the plant has stimulating effect on the liver, spleen and digestive system. Has often been used to treat mental depression.

The primrose are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your question about bread, I honestly don't know. I've only used seeds, nut, fruit and suet to feed birds. In recent years I only feed them in very cold weather or when there is snow because I have so many natural seeds and fruits that grow in my wild yards.
