Red: Curry tree fruits.

My curry tree produced fragrant leaves, people came from far and near. It became a communal tree. When I left Singapore for NZ, my downstairs neighbour wanted to own it. I said yes, but my friends should be allowed to pluck from it. 6 years later, I went back to visit. It was a sorry sight. The tree missed his mummy (me) and her green thumb.

Rose wedding bouquet. Mail Order Bride.

Roses for a wedding bouquet,

My latest project completed, and at the printers.

This book is the embodiment of the darker side of today’s society. Auckland city is chosen because of her cosmopolitan features, as well as the presence of immigrants, new and old. There are mail order brides from all over the world. This story could happen in any big city in the world.

This is a Young Adult and Adult and would have appeal to readers interested in social issues: obsession, mail order bride, murder suicide, toy boy, con Romeo, mother-daughter rivalry, pedophile, child pornography, prostitution, modeling, fraud, childhood shenanigans, runaway street kids, anorexia nervosa, teen pregnancy street kids, boy racers.

The writer weaves these issues with the coming of a Filipino Mail order Bride to the troubles of her delinquent daughter.

weekend Flowers: North Borneo orchid.

The North Borneo Orchid,
my Dad used to grow.
When I was young,
the plant bloomed once in ten years.
They were pure white.

Now, there are lots of hybrids,
of all hues.
They bloom all the time.
They don't beat the ones my Dad grew,
the pure white ones.

Red: Coin souvenir

For my red meme, Many many moons ago, we took my girls to USA, and they saw a machine like this, put in a small coin, and it will roll and press it and get a souvenir of the place. We had Empire State building. Here at the Auckland Museum, you need $2. I think of my girls who have left the coop and flown thousands of miles away.

My books in libraries.

One of the happiest thing for a writer is not when he/she

writes her book, or sells her first book. It is having it

available for everyone to borrow it from the library.

Praise God that my two books will be in
 circulation in Borneo

where I was Born and In New Zealand where I now live. It's

like I am not a bonafide writer.

Corpse flower.

This is the corpse flower of Borneo. I was too late when I went yesterday. The stalk has dried up and you can see just a little of it.  This was in a green house or Winter garden of the Auckland Domain.

I don't think this is the Famous Rafflesia from Sarawak.

Red: Warning sign

This was taken during my holidays in Borneo, in Kuching.

I found out what this is. It is a stapler.

I took this for my Red Tuesday Meme, I forgot what it is,

can you guess? No prizes, just for fun.
