Watery Wednesday: Eels and swan

http://waterywednesday.blogspot.com/
"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"
There are so many eels,
which shall I choose for my dinner?

Seen in Western Springs in Auckland New Zealand. Actually, I think the eels and swans co-exist.

I always take my visitors to Western Springs.

The swans seems to find the eels a bit perplexing

not a combination I see very often - eels and black swans - together!

Very interesting, as the swan wonders if he should snack or play.

What a great photo catch!!! I have never seen a black swan! The eel looks like his mouth is open, but that may just be an illusion in the water, a mere tiny wave. He looks mad. This picture is astounding!

Your shot is so unique...
The swan wants to play or eat the eels?

Eels and Swan! Very different combination. I seldom see these together. That's a great amount of eels too. I do agree with Luna Miranda too, it does look like snakes at some angles.

May you have a wonderful day Ann.

Something I have never seen - a mess of eels like that, with or without a black swan watching!

We have a new chinese store and they have live eels for sale.

I guess if you like them, that's a good spot to get a bunch of them.
