Macro Flowers Saturday: Hibiscus
Macro Flower Saturday
http://blueberrycraftandhobbytime.blogspot.com/p/join-my-photo-challenge-flowers-on.html
I continue my series of my School, Pt Chevalier's Crops for Christchurch, with these lovely hibiscus. These are no ordinary hibiscus. A student and his parents thought of this great idea of decorating our market with these blooms. Do visit my other two sites to read more of this.
Malaysia has chosen the Hibiscus as her National flower. I don't know why. Malaysia is a controversial word to many people. It can be very passionate in this family. There are two parts of Malaysia. It started with east and west malaysia. Then they changed the West to be called Penisular Malaysia.
The water engineer is the only one born in West Malaysia. I was born in Sarawak, and the kids else where.

Three georgous pictures, each showing a different stage for the hibiscus. I think I like the second better, I have never seen one in that stage.
They may be the national flower of Malaysia, but they are very commonly grown in most Asian countries!
Very beautiful.. I love your shots.. and to answer your question. I shot these with a white on white backdrop and natural window light then I used lightroom 2.7 and used the preset cold tone, then adjusted the fill light and exposure until I liked it..
Love hibiscus and yours here ann are of great colors.
Hibiscus grow here in Florida too but I don't think I have seen any blooms that large. Great photos.
Hibiscus is a very beautiful flower, it's a pity they don't last a bit longer.
I love your shots of all the different hibiscus plants.
Beautiful photos!
Ann, I love the photo of the lone pink hibiscus! I don't think I have ever seen one with the petals separated like that! And the next shot, of the bud with the stamens sticking out - that is so cute!
Hibiscus are such beautiful flowers, perfect choice for the national flower. Your photos are gorgeous.
They are beautiful flowers and have such detailed markings inside.
Love these. Gorgeous!
Happy new week.
Beautiful hibiskus, one of my favorites
