Sunday bridge, bridge over grills.
http://bayphoto.blogspot.com/
There is a grill so that the rubbish and leaves do not choke the water way. This is a foot bridge.

When I was living on the campus of NTU in Singapore, we lived on a cleared jungle. There were bees and they often nested on our balcony. These handsome men had to make scaffolding to spray toxic fumes. It didn't really work as the bees kept coming.
I told my friends, it gave me an excuse to have macho men visiting me. The photos don't show that we are 4 storeys up.
Sunday bridges: Jetty bridge 2
http://bayphoto.blogspot.com/
Found all along the river in Papua New Guinea. You must have long legs to use this. Just as well as I didn't go, by the time I get to the jetty, the boat will be long gone.

Macro Flowers Saturday: Canna
Macro Flower Saturday

Tomorrow's going to be Mother's day.
Children are making cards.
There are two groups who are not celebrating.
I teach two brothers,
Their mum died when the older was 6,
He remembers his mum.
The younger was too young to remember.
I ask the kids if they want to make a card for their mum.
They say Yes!
I ask the older brother, he said he was fine,
He wants to make one for his Dad.
But the little bro is very sensitive,
I do not even want to go there.
So we don't make a card even when the others ask.
The other group are the mums,
who had lost their children.
On this mother's day.
their arms are heavy.
Tears well up in their eyes.
Others may have forgotten.
They have not.
I have the unfortunate circumstances,
I lost my mum,
I lost my child.
Praise God, I have moved on.
Happy Mother's Day.
I say a prayer to those who have no joy on this day.

Ruby red/rednesday: Graduation
http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com
http://www.suelovescherries.blogspot.com/
It was my second daughter G's capping yesterday. It rained the whole day, we didn't go to the march pass. The ceremony was at the Aotea centre. My memories went back to previous ceremonies when the water engineer and I were capped.
A blind girl and her dog was there. There were thunderous clapping and yahooing.
