Tamarillo

This is one fruit in New Zealand that I haven't acquire the taste. My friends say the wine and jame is beautiful. But sorry, I don't like this. I bought this specially for my friend Sarawakiana. I used to think that it looks a beautiful egg. The plant is like a giant eggplant tree.

The vendors of Tamarillos promotes this:
Juicy and packed with goodness the tamarillo fruit is a very good source of vitamin C, and is low in fat and calories.

Add sliced red, amber, and gold tamarillos to your cheese-boards, salads and decorate your dishes for a distinctive look and flavour. Tamarillos can be poached, fried, grilled, baked or casseroled to add taste and nutrition to every meal.
