Saturday Flowers: Begonia

I think this is Begonia Hiemalis. Please correct me if it is not. The Reiger Begonia (also known as Rieger Begonia, Begonia hiemalis, and Winter Begonia) is a hybrid of wax begonia species and tuberous begonias.

My new friend, Mary, from my town of birth in Borneo posted a beautiful flower. I remembered I went to take photos in my friend Annie's garden, but I didn't post them. I didn't plan to take photos, she wasn't home, so I started to snap the photos. She had sat the pot on the ground so i actually had to go down on my knees. Then she came home. She is a good friend and knows I blog. She said I was welcomed to snap any photo I liked.

They are very beautiful, such a hot coral red color.
At least, nobody saw you staying on your knees. I was laying on the ground for my crocus photos, to the astonishment of the passers-by, but it was worth.
Have a great weekend Ann!

Our Begonias here are very small and not as pretty as this. But this one must be a different kind, have not seen any here like this!

I've never seen one (or might have missed it!) but it sure looked beautiful!

I'm sure your friend will not mind because you only took a shot and not the pot!;-)

What a glorious color! I love begonias but cannot grow one, I don't have a green thumb for them. A pretty color to brighten the rainy day here in Maine!

That's a lovely begonia, Ann! The tuberous begonias can be so rewarding to grow and they flower profusely if they find the right spot.

Thank you for participating in Floral Friday Fotos.
