phil collins and genesis
Home by the sea
Home by the sea
Home by the sea
Home by the sea

Creeping up the blind side, shinning up the wall
Stealing through the dark of night
Climbing through a window, stepping to the floor
Checking to the left and the right
Picking up the pieces, putting them away
Something doesn't feel quite right

Help me someone, let me out of here
Then out of the dark was suddenly heard
Welcome to the home by the sea

Coming out the woodwork through the open door
Pushing from above and below
Shadows but no substance in the shape of men
Round and down and sideways they go
Adrift without direction, eyes that hold despair
Then as one they sign and they moan

Help us someone, let us out of here
Living here so long undisturbed
Dreaming of the time we were free
So many years ago
Before the time when we first heard
Welcome to the home by the sea
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/g/genesis-lyrics/home-by-the-sea-lyrics.html ]

Sit down, sit down
Sit down, sit down, sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you

Images of sorrow, pictures of delight
Things those go to make up a life
Endless days of summer, longer nights of gloom
Waiting for the morning life
Scenes of unimportance, photos in a frame
Things those go to make up a life

Help us someone, let us out of here
'Cos living here so long undisturbed
Dreaming of the time we were free
So many years ago
Before the time when we first heard
Welcome to the home by the sea

Sit down, sit down
Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you
Let us relive our lives in what we tell you

Sit down, sit down, sit down
'Cos you won't get away
No with us you will stay
For the rest of your days, sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you
Let us relive our lives in what we tell you, oh

I don't know this song, but your picture is pretty. I just looked at your post below about cactus wine, I had missed it. I never heard of it, and those pictures are really good. I can't imagine how it would taste. Do they sell it in the grocery stores there? Those flowers are the cactus blooms?

It's nice to have a home by the sea, isn't it?
Here's my entry. Thanks and see you!

How are things across the ditch? I don't at all like what I am hearing about Christchurch. The poor people living under threat for such a long time. One can take a catastrophe and move on but to have recurring aftershocks for such a long time is like living in a war zone. I do hope the Earth settles down again.

I find myself envying people who live right on the coast of any country.

MIST ON THE OCEAN

Mist on the ocean,
Mist on the sea,
Mist on the meadow,
Mist on the tree;

Dew on the grasses,
Dew on the rose,
Dew in the garden,
Dew on my clothes;

All of this wetness,
It’s plain to see,
Promises blessings
For you and me!

Ann, I've had you in my thoughts recently...the earthquakes. Hope you weren't affected by them. And, things are going well for you and yours.

Love Phil Collins!!! And your photo is perfect.
