Teine ma Tama Samoa Unitec, students helping students.

Talofa on this cold blustery rainy day. Paki Paki to these Samoan students who are fundraising for the Samoan Students at Unitec.

They were cooking  their sausage sizzle at Pt Chevalier Mall. I like their cheerfullness and when I asked if I could write a blog about them, they are very happy.

Desiree Amy their spokesperson told me they deal with study groups and social events to benefit Unitec students.

Their next event is Teuila Festival,  8th October 2014. It is the National festival created by students for students.

How to make green avocados ripen faster

green avocados
control group, empty paper bag
in a bag with a banana
in a bag with an apple.
4 days , in banana bag, ripened in 4 days
4 days, in an apple bag, with mildly ripening
control group, hardly any change.

When I was young, we were given some green chiku, it was green and we couldn't eat it. The person who gave it to us told us to put them inside the rice jar. It did the job.

Recently, I was given a lot of green avocados, I googled to see how to get them ripe faster.

How to ripen an avocado:
I had tried leaving then in my fruit bowl, but it took a long time.
I carried out this experiment.
1:  Place several avocados in a paper bag and store at room temperature.
2: To make it ripen faster faster
3: Place avocados in a paper bag with an apple
4: Place avocados with a  banana.
Result: the banana worked best,

Daisy fields.

http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

In summer, the lawns and fields in New Zealand quickly turn into daisy fields. Here my "baby" sits and picks daisies so I can make a daisy chain for her.

All too soon, she has grown up and will be traveling and doing what she likes to do.

When she is in the freezing Harbin or Paris,
Or in the Protest of Hong Kong,

I hope she looks at this post, and remembers the warmth of her mum's bossom.
