Not sure if the fruits are made into Haw flakes that we know,
Haw flakes, shānzhābǐng (Chinese: 山楂餅) are Chinese sweets made from the
fruit of the Chinese hawthorn. The dark pink candy is usually formed
into discs two millimeter thick, and packaged in cylindrical stacks with
label art resemblance of Chinese fireworks.
Rhaphiolepis indica, the Indian hawthorn, India hawthorn or Hong Kong hawthorn, is an evergreen shrub in the family Rosaceae. Found at western springs.
