Sunday Bridges: Carrington

http://bayphoto.blogspot.com/

This is one of the bridges I travel everyday to work. Auckland had volcanoes which erupted luckily once upon a time, so our land is up and down with ridges, valleys and plateaus.

You won't notice that this is a bridge, and think that it is just a 4 lane road. But when you stop at the lights here, you look down on the motorway. Very often it is jammed with traffic going into the city. When this happens, I am glad I don't work in the city.

By the rails, a lot of students from UNITEC walk to the university. They come in all shapes and sizes, and attire. Some dress very smartly, and some very casually. Sometimes, when it rain, and they are not dressed for the rain. I almost feel sorry for them.

You're right! This is a bridge that is rather disguised. I think it's that fence that does it! I just read your post from yesterday, I had missed it because of my broken computer. I love those chilis that look exactly like little hats!! I've never seen such a kind of chili! You are so right! Sometimes people will swallow water to stop the burn, but that just spreads it and makes it worse! Milk is the only thing! And I don't ever want to have to find out how well it works!

Oops! I made a typing mistake! I meant to say tht those chilis look like little BELLS! Not hats.

Interesting shot. It's not an awning on my bridge. It's a monorail track.

We also have a lot of highway overpasses that could be considered bridges in disguise!

Lucky girl, I think you have a beautiful scenery while you are going to work everyday.I like so much this picture ( but I hope you were not driving and taking pictures! LOL ), and your words describing the students give me the perfect image in my mind, it's cool!
Have a nice week,

Just a quick note, is your area affected by the recent earthquake? Have a nice weekend.

I'm glad our city isn't any larger.....

Traffic coming in is bad enough when there is an accident.
