Ruby red/rednesday: Distance measuring machine

I just watched a distance measuring wheel being used in a news story when I saw the lady in red with this machine. She was quite far away when I decided to take her photo, so you see only a glimpse of the machine.

You can see her for a ways off in that red jacket.

It looks like she is marking the ground with chalk, as well. But what is that large sculpture looking thing in the distance??

You got just the amount of red for today. I enjoyed your entire blog.

Very nice photo. I too wonder about the sculpture on the hill. At first I thought that was the distance measuring machine!

Great landscape!

The sculpture is an eagle, and the protector of the domain. It is very big and can be seen quite far away. I will post other photos.

Perfect photo to show the importance of RED. Well seen.

My hubby has that machine in his brain. He knows how many yards just by looking! I can't even see that far.
